| well we had a very exciting day yesterday. we went to the local driver's center but we were not doing drivers permits yesterday so we headed to one of the places in allentown. while we were on the one highway we saw a couple cars and a big rig that had pulled over and there was a car that was in a ditch. it turns out that we were one of the first ones on scene and the first one on scene with a lightbar. it was kind of cool because we were in the left lane and everyone had slowed down and we had to cross a whole lane of traffic so our dad turned on the lightbar and everyone stopped for us to get over to the shoulder. the stopped traffic both ways on the highway. they ended up flying Pennstar and once they got there they circled overhead a few times and then they landed right on the highway. once they had the woman in the ambulance and getting her ready to be flown our dad said that we could get out and watch Pennstar take off. after Pennstar took off we also left but it was really cool because they hadn't opened the highway yet so we were one of the only ones on the highway along with a firetruck and a command truck for a mile or two after that we went to the driver's license center. we ended up getting there just a few miunets before they closed. i passed the writen test (which was done on a computer) without any trouble. i did have a little bit of trouble with the vishion test, but other then that everything was a lot easier then i thought. after that we went to BJ's to get new tires and they said that it would take around a hour so while we were waiting we went across the street to arbys. after that we walked around BJ's for a little bit and then they were done with the van. after that we went and got fuel and after that we went bowling. we bowled four games, we had a lot of fun. my highest score was 125. i thought that i would get a higher score but we have not gone bowling for a little while. i think we are going to try to go out bowling more often. well got to go, see ya'll a little later.

| Wow, I wish I could have exciting days like you. By lightbar, you mean...emergency lights?
So you have your permit now? That's pretty sweet. I'm getting mine as soon as that other thing comes in the mail.

| Congrats on getting the permit, let the fun begin.
Sometimes I wish I had a light bar. Also, your helicoper pic reminded me of something cool I saw at the airport today....a flight of 9 Blackhawks and Apaches were departing just as we were arriving. It was interesting. |

| well not much going on right now. it looks like the next couple of days are going to be pretty hot. today i think it is suppost to get up to 77F and tomarrow they are calling for it to get up to 85F and Tuesday 91F, good weather for going in the pool. sometime soon i am going to try to make a mount for the digital camera so that i can use the camera with the telescope and i also want to get a moterdrive for the telescope too. the moter drive snowly turns the telescope so that it follows or tracks whatever you are looking at across the sky. i want to try getting some pictures of the ISS (international space station) sometime, i think that would be cool. the grass needs to be cut so i might do that sometime today. last night my brother and i went up the street and watched our neighbers set off fireworks for a while. they are really cool but they are also dangeres which is part of the reason why we don't set off fireworks ourselths. this year for the 4th for July i am hoping to beable to ffire off my flintlock rifle (with nothing in it of course). we also have a big bang cannon that we fire off on the 4th of July. well got to go, see ya'll later.

| this cannon, is it owned by the city or something?.....i remember every summer i would go to Vancouver Island for Sea Cadet camp and i would participate in the Ceremony of the Flags(a ceremony celebrating Canada's provincial and other official flags).....one year(my final a a course cadet - course as opposed to staff) i was on the old 12-lb Naval Field Guns....these where guns used in the Boeur War in South Africa by the British against the Dutch....and we would fire them off during the song "Maple Leaf Forever" at 4 beat intervals.....the following night was the better of the two...we fired the guns to the "Overture of 1812" at a near impossible re-load rate....the year i did it was the last year we used to full 8oz black powder rounds.....even without a projectile they would rock back ever so slightly.....after that year they(DND) would no longer let us use full 8oz rounds and mandated we use only .50 cal inserts which were no where near as impressive.....:*sigh*....those were they days.....
