| i tryed starting the snowblower yesterday and heard a grinding sound, never a good sound to hear. since that meant that we had no way to start it i decited to try fixing the pull start. i was able to fix it with a thin piece of rope and a piece of wood. i tryed starting it again and it jammed, but i fixed that. it still won't start though. i guess we are going to have to have someone look at it. well got to go get ready for church, see ya'll.

| we went to church yesterday and after that we went to Home Depot and Walmart. we also went sledding for a little while. two of our sleds didn't really work very well because they have metal runners and because the snow wasn't really packed down the sleds sort of sank in the snow. we did take along two other sleds and they didn't sink. there were one or two other familys there sleding also. the one family had a big innertube and their dad let my brother and sister try it, it was pretty cool. i got the oscilloscope working, or at least i think it is working, i still am missing four vacume tubes. it is pretty cool because i can hook up my guitar to the oscilloscope and the oscilloscope will show what the signal from the guitar looks like. i am excited because next week NASCAR is racing at Bristol, i like Bristol because it is a short track. last year the end of the race at Bristol was very exciting, i love short track racing. well got to go, see ya'll.

| i like it cause there is such a fast pace to it....they hardly slow down for corners....plus, there's always a monster pile-up....i like watching short-track better, but when i play the video games, i like the long-track better....

| well the part for my truck that i was waiting for came yesterday. i just need a muffler and tailpipe and i will be done building it. i can run it without the muffler and tailpipe though, i also need gas. i found out how to play a song by Mathew West (but i forgot the name of the song). i also found out how to play some of the song Smoke on the Water by Deep Purple, i first heard some of the music from the song on a Dodge commersle. well got to go, see ya'll.

| we have youth group tonight so i am looking foword to that. our dad picked up a can of fuel and a fuel bottle for me yesterday. i am actuchuly a little nerevus about trying the truck for some reason, i'm not sure why. maybe it is because i built it from both used parts and new parts, or maybe it's because it will most likely be loud, i don't really know. well got to go, see ya'll a little later.

| i tryed starting my rc truck yesterday and i had a lot more trouble then i thought i would. first i filled the gas tank about 1/4th of the way because if something was going to go wrong i didn't want it to have a full tank of fuel. it turns out that ether the fuel tank or the fuel line is leaking slowly. i thought i saw a break in part of the fuel line but i didn't think very much of it at the time. i played with it for a little while but i coudn't get it to run. after a little while i remembered that R/C engines need the glow plug to be hot in order to burn the fuel. so i found out that the glow plug igniters that you can buy are basicly just a battery pack that connects to the glow plug and heats up the glow plug. the glow plug works alot like a spark plug, but insted of creating a spark the glow plug has a thin coil of wire inside it and when power is applyed to the glow plug the coil heats up and glows hot enought to ignite the fuel. i only have one glow plug and that is the one that came with the engine. after i found out much energy the glow plugs need i made a glow plug igniter. it is just two AA batteries, a couple alagator clips, and a toggle switch. i tryed starting the engine again (this time with the starter that i made) and after a couple tries the engine started and then it stalled. i played around with it for a little while and changed some stuff. i was able to start it a couple different times, and the one time i was able to drive the truck for maybe 20' before it got stuck in some mud and stalled. i kept working at it but i can't get it to start again for some reason, i think it is because the glow plug is old. so i am going to have to buy some new glow plugs and maybe a glow plug igniter. the short time that i was able to drive it was a lot of fun! it has a lot more power then any of the other R/C cars or trucks that i have tryed before, it is pretty cool! i have to be carefull with the fuel because it is 20% nitro methane and it also has methol alcohol in it and i couple times i must have gotten a little bit on my hands because i felt something wet and then reight away it felt cold from the alcohol evaperaiting. well got to go, see ya'll.
