Peaveys aren't second rate really, just a bit of a different tone. If that tone is not your tone, Id save up a bit longer for the simple fact that it will not satisfy. Granted if you get a good tube amp, use it and sell it, there will not be much depreciation if you take care of it. Don't knock the Peaveys though, they are good stuff. My Peavey can hang with the hughes and Kettner, they are just a bit of a different tone.

I don't think I've recommended the MTS is particular. I've recommened that people check out Carvin amps.

peavey isn't the tone i'm looking for.. plus if i settle for a peavey it's gonna be an XXL or a Super XL, the JSX and 6505 etc. are great amps.. but i want an Orange...

okay, well i'm not gonna buy an XXL series amp... i was told they wer tube.. i was wong.. hmm... know where i can find a soundfile from a valveking?
