You'd think with what those crazy Mexicans are doing for our city, things'd change...

sure, sure... illegal immigration is bad for America... somehow... I don't really know how... but ok...

... but, why oh why are both LA senators voting for this immigration reform bill across the board?

i don't think they realize just how many immigrants are here rebuilding this city... seriously... yeah.

anyway... how did your senator vote? i'm glad you asked... go here to see vote counts!

... The problem is that they can get free healthcare at the cost of the state, that runs tax money dry so the states have to ask the federal government for more funding but the congress is already overbudget and the national deficit is through the roof... that's why something must be done about illegal aliens... plus if they can sneak in workers from mexico then why can't terrorists go to mexico and sneak across the border? it's a major problem, especially because they don't pay taxes... then the ones who file their taxes get money for nothing, it's called earned income credit, they MAKE money off of filing taxes... and get this: most of them are poor... so the federal govt. pays 11 billion dollars every year to the "tax payers"... so "tax cuts for the rich" are more or less a moot point... TAKE THAT JOHN KERRY!

What are the actual numbers on that one? How many illegal immigrants are using free healthcare, and of that number, how many frivilous lawsuits arise? I do know that US Citizens are killing the cost of Health insurance with lawsuits. And seeing as there are more legal US Citizens than there are illegal aliens, perhaps we should look at someone else to blame for rising healthcare costs.

it's not rising healthcare costs, it's larger national deficits, i don't know all the numbers, but i saw on the news that Georgia is paying 160 Billion (wasn't exactly 160 but it was close) a year and about half of that is estimated to be illegal aliens....

I estimate about half of those statistics to be innacurate.

... whether you admit it or not, it's one of the fastest growing problems that our nation is facing... btw, do you realize how useless our congress is... they just recently voted to keep english as our "national language" rather than "our common unifying language"... i think there are MUCH better uses of their time... i mean that is seriously rediculous...

Forgive my political ignorance, but congress sounds like the opposite of progress... what is it actually?

Education is far less important than singling out a tiny segment of our population that you still haven't proven is ruining anything. Or am I being rediculous?

The opposite of progress.

Of all the things our government is spending money on, healthcare is far from the most wasteful regardless who's benefitting from it.
