Where do I begin

When I was young my biological father did some very bad things to me. I got taken out of my home when I was 10. Then when I was living with my foster mom she fell and scolded 75% of her body. I thought God hated me. Like I did something bad. Then I went to live with friends of the family and they showed me that God truely loved me. And in the summer of 2003 I got baptized in my church. And my walk with God has been very interesting up until this day. But one question that God has not answered is wether or not I should see my dad again? I hopes the's an answer out there somewhere.

Do you want to see your father?

I think that is the first question.

As for the surcomstances in seeing your father...I don't know if it is really safe for you to. I mean, I don't really know what happened to you when you were with your dad, but if he didn't treat you well...I don't know if it is wise to see.
If you really want to see your dad, then thats great! God made a real change in you that you still love your father wnough to see him again! Most people in your shoes are kinda like "He did this to me and I will never forgive him!"
But Amen, that you love him still. ^^

Keep praying about it and the answer will be revealed to you in time. If it be God's will, you will see your dad again! ^__^

I Want See Him

I want to see him but I am afraid to. Do you ever get the feeling that if you are going to see this person but you think that something bad is going to happen if you do? I haven't seen him in over 8 years. Do you think I should wait? I am sooooooo confused right now. I've been turning to one of my friends on this situation and I've also talked to God about it. Maybe he doesn't wnat me to see him. Maybe he wants me to wit a little while longer.

How does this sound

Take a friend close friend to keep you safe. You have no idea if your dad is saved or not so you could be in a great position to so him how God works in your life.

It sounds like you already forgave him .

This thread is turning more into advice than sharing...

Zoey, do you want this to be an advice thread? If so, I can move it to the Advice forum, and you will probably get more responses (and good advice) in there. The thing is, you will likely have to share more of your situation to get more specific advice. If you're not comfortable with that, it's fine. I can leave this here.

I wouldn't worry too much about making a decision yet. God will lead you when the time is right. Thanks for sharing.

God bless you, kid. God has a path to lead you on and that should be your concern. Your story is about how God can shine through you. Odds are nothing good can come from seeing your dad. Let it go. Walk with God.
