RP200 Durability

Hey guys...

I just got an RP200a off of ebay. The headphone jack is already broken on it. This thing has has the stupid PCB mounted jacks, with no nut on the outside to stabilize the jack and keep it from breaking loose from the board. Has anyone had trouble with these? If so, did you take it apart and re-solder it yourself? Was it a pain? .....thanks!.....~Shawn

I have an RP-100, and Ive never had any problems with it other than trying to find the power adapter after I misplace it.

For plastic, the RP series is pretty durable, but looking back, I would rather have gotten single effects.

they're made of metal. all except for the jacks and screen. personally if you take good care of it you shouldnt have problems with breakage. in all my years of owning one (rp200) i only have a dent in the plastic part of the screen. nothing broken. besides, who uses the headphone jack of that anyway? plug er into an amp get the organs rattling. thats the way to go

I think the housing is die cast metal, and the foot switches are plastic

I have a RP200a and I'll warn you to be gentle w/ the footswitches, as the contacts are realy cheesy, I've had to shim mine already...of course I have a very heavy foot
