Yep. He lived there this last summer. He lives only a few blocks away now on Chicago. It's still a pretty rough area, but the neighborhood is trying, anyway.

No he's going to the U of M. I have a cousin that goes to north central, though. It's a pretty cool neighborhood. Have you ever visited ICCM (Inner City Church of Minneapolis)?

I don't live near the cities but I have listened to KTIS sometimes. But around here I listen to Praise FM - there are several call letters depending on where you are. I don't remember what the ones for the Cities.

Yeah.. if you're ever in the cities, check out the second one for more contemporary.. otherwise the first one is good too. Especially with the Knapper and the Pastor.. those guys are awesome.. and dave in the after noon. And Pete bush with the traffic!

I have been to ICCM a few times.. it is a nice church! My folks work with YWAM (Youth With A Mission) and they were out there a couple weeks ago doing some sort of ministry. So I went to see them and sat in on the college age church service it was cool! I used to go there quite a bit when there was a Spanish service but I have not been out there recently.

minnesota nice is a concept that people from minnesota are naturally nice. i don't completely agree. i think it's more common in rural minnesota, but definitely not so in minneapolis. the thing about "minnesota nice" in small towns is that they are nice to your face, and then behind your back they will kinda talk about you like you are weird. kind of because they have to be, or at least feel obligated, you know? it's actually kinda funny.
Thank you for clearing that up for me. Yea I guess people in Minneapolis are not MN nice, at least not in my point of view... people in upstate NY (where I was born) are way nicer!!

Really?!?!?!? It's so exciting to hear that there is someone else. I went down there with some friends from my youth group a few weeks ago. You can read about it in by blog if you want:

It was such an awesome time. We went out street witnessing and worked in the church for awhile. . . fun. You know what's funny Vida? You saw us doing our mime in Mexico, we were there at the exact same time. . . and we've happened to have been at the same place in Minneapolis, Minnesota. . . how weird is that?

No! I want too! Redwing, huh? I know some people there. My pastor's brother lives there, actually. And the speaker that came to our youth camp. It's such a small world. . .

never been to iccm, but i used to pass by it all the time on my way to work when i worked downtown. it looks pretty cool. i should go there sometime, but right now i go to a church on sat pm and work sun am, so it might be a little while, unless they have other days that they meet. actually there might be some local ministries that work through that church too. hmmm.. i should look into that.

sorry guys, i'm too lazy to put quotes in.

i'm gonna have to try those radio stations. i have been listening to a lot more cds and cassettes than radio, but sometimes you need a few good christian radio stations for sure. i do a lot of driving too, so i should program then in for sure.

they sound like really good stations. i have no clue who the pastor knapper is or whatever. now i'm kinda curious.

Yeah, stop down there on a Friday night and see if they'll let you go out with their street team. You're in for a great experiance.
