Gandhi: Have You Seen It?

I just bought Gandhi on DVD, the version with Ben Kingsley, on E-bay for 99 cents plus S&H, and I'm so excited that I figured I'd see who all has and hasn't seen this movie. If you have not seen this movie, you should. In 1983 it won eight Oscars and was nominated for eleven, and it also won five Golden Globes. This is such a beautiful and fascinating movie. If you haven't seen it, go rent it tonight.

Seen it. Thought it was excellent. I almost cried at the end (or maybe I did cry). ...then I started to cry because I had to write a 5 page paper on it by 8 a.m.

Ouch. I had to watch it in a class in HS. It took a week to watch because the teacher would stop it every 5 minutes and explain what just happened. We didnt have to write a paper on it like you did.

It was a good movie.

The teacher also did the same thing with Schindlers List. Every 5 minutes he would stop it. "You see the girl with the red sweater? What do you guys think it represents? Do you think Mr. Spielburg did this on purpose?" No he didnt do it on purpose. Somebody played a joke and turned the sweater red and gave the candle light color. Play the dang movie old timer!
