| Destroy The Runner A great metalcore band. The lead singer, Kyle, is a friend of mine, and he is a heck of a talented vocalist. He's also a really cool guy. The closest comparison I could make to these guys is As I Lay Dying, but, to me, Kyle is a much better vocalist than Tim Lambesis. http://www.purevolume.com/destroytherunner

They sound alot like As I Lay Dying, particularly the drums and guitar. But your friend is not as good Tim Lambesis. I would have liked to hear some singing too (maybe there was some, I didn't listen to the entire song) |

Yeah, it is. I'm gonna have to go congratulate Kyle in just a minute(over Myspace, of course).
Speaking of Myspace, Destroy The Runner has a new song on their Myspace, called "My Darkness"; http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm...iendid=3115834
I can't wait to hear what they can do over a whole CD.

| Congrats to them on their success. This is the band that used to be DIE LIKE ME right?
As far as sounding like AILD, I'm not that surprised...it seems to be a common theme in San Diego metalcore circles. |

I think so.
But, yeah, you're probably right about them sounding like AILD.

| Yeah, it's a bump.. Destroy the Runner is awesome.. What I've heard on PureVolume actually reminds me of Still Remains, more than AILD..

| These guys are ok. Personally I'm pretty tired of that metalcore sound. |
