resizing animated gifs..

Who wants to resize mine? Avatar dimensions would be awesome. I know lots about comptuers but not about graphics...

How's that? It's small enough to fit in the filesize limit of paid members, so I think it will also work for you. Here's a shot.

Not the dimensions, the actual file size..

There's no way you can get it under the filesize limit. You've got 41 frames of animation and you want it to be like 38KB. That's not possible when each frame of an animation that size is going to be at least 1K...

I actually got that one I posted at 38.8KB. It's pretty lossy, but as Brent said, you won't get any better.

Just curious, but how do you edit animated avatars to make them smaller? Just to give you an idea of what I could do (if only I knew how), I have Adobe CS2 at my disposal.

I couldn't open an animated GIF in photoshop for some reason, so do this:

Open the GIF in ImageReady. Go to the Image menu and select Image Size. Resize it to what you want. Then save it Optimized from the File menu. There you go.

I was wondering that myself. Computer geek lacking in the graphics area..
