Chipotle rocks. I eat there all the time. How do you pronounce it, though? Everyone I know says it differently.

Chipotle is good stuff.

Unfortunately, I cannot have foods that are too spicy now, nothanks to my surgery. I've been having "issues." So if I got anything, I'd have to ask them to hold off the salsa. Alas. The best part.

The other minor problem is that the only ones I know of are up in the Sac area, while I'm back home in SF now.

Wrong. Chee-po-tlay. Unless you were meaning the Spanish "i". In which case you are correct.

Like I said. Long "e" sound for the first syllable, long "o" for syllable #2, and long "a" sound for the last syllable. The syllables are divided like this: Chi-po-tle

There are few things that I like to brag about myself, but this is one of them: I am a Chipotle guru. Heck, I may even be the dalai lama of Chipotle.

Let me give my credentials to ya:

- I started eating Chipotle in Colorado (where it originated) back in the mid '90's with a buddy of mine.

- The manager of the restaurant I used to go all the time is Joe of Chipotle: the famed one who answers all the e-mails and stuff. He used to come to our table, sit down and chat with us all the time. He isn't a manager anymore, obviously, he's a higher-up dood. (if you are a Chipotle guru, you know why I spelled dude as "dood")

- I have inspired entire churches to become Chipotle addicts, and at least one Christian college.

- My brother-in-law now works for Chipotle and is in charge of the restaurants in Cincinnati, Columbus and Northern Kentucky.

- I go at least three times a week. Sometimes I have free burrito coupons, sometimes I don't. But I really don't care because it's good and cheap.

So there you go.

Actually, Chi-pot-le

Adam is such a guru that he even got me hooked from most of the way across the nation. Because of his descriptions of the wonder of Chipotle, I was seeking them out for a couple of years, until I finally found one. Now, there are several that I go to.

Chipotle is a Spanish word. English phonetics do not apply. The spanish letter i is pronounced the same as a long english e. EE.

Chipotle is good but Im finding Qdoba to be better. Who charges $1.50-$1.95 for a little quacomole? Qdoba quacomole used to be 35 cents, I think its up to 70 cents right now but its still a lot cheaper than Chipotle quacomole. Plus Qdoba has a lot more to offer on the menu.

Chipotle burrito bowls are still the best though.

I know this thread is a little old, but I just had Chipotle for the first time when I went to Dallas last week, and it was SO GOOD. However, I couldn't even eat a whole burrito in one sitting. How can people who weigh much less than me eat so much? I love how you can put whatever it is you want on them. My sister had coupons for free burritos, so I didn't have to pay for anything, besides the guacomole, but 1.50 was okay to spend for free burritos/drinks. Yes.
