Running

Do you think it's better to go for a run in the morning or at the end of the day?
I find that when I run in the morning it tires me out for the rest of the day to start with, but it always takes a while to warm up and it makes you feel sluggish for a short time.
At the end of the day, on the other hand, you have been functioning physically for 8 to 12 hours and so you are more physically prepared for the bodily strain of running.

I would tend to think you'd be less physically prepared for the exact reason that you've been 'functioning physically for 8 to 12 hours." I'm not an athlete by any means, and I'm sure that warmups are good for you, but it seems that when your body is rested (i.e. after sleeping), you're in better shape to perform.

I believe that the morning run/evening run is entirely a matter of personal preference, and neither would neccesarily be "better". Here's a link to an article about there being no difinitive proof supporting one time of day over another.

Thats a good article! Very helpful. Also I think that some mornings you just dont feel like getting out of bed while other mornings you are quite ready for some exercise so I would have to agree that it is mostly based on personal preference. There seems to be enough arguments before and against.
