You might want to tell us what kinds of pickups, so we can tell you if we know a better price.

No, I have decided what pickups I'm getting, and have researched that enough. I'm asking about the stuff from Stewmac.

Oops, I meant to say what kind of pickups. But are you saying you decided to get them from Ebay? That probably is the cheapest place to get them, so I guess we couldn't really give you any advice.

Correct, GFS sells their pickups new on ebay for a bit cheaper than at their online store.

Oh, that's cool. I should look into it if I replace my pickups.

Stewmac's is the same. But, since I'm ordering most of my stuff from there, I'll probably stick with Stewmac since Stewmac's shipping is based on weight, not a flat rate like Carvin's.

Quick update:

While waiting for the pickups (come on GFS...) I put the guitar back together so I can play it. But I should have the pickups in the next week, along with the hardware. I'm still thinking about the pickguard and what I'm going to do there.

Where does it say that? But it doesn't matter because I think I will be spending at least that much there.

even if it does say it, they don't hold you to it. on the other hand, if you buy anything from warmoth, when they say $25 minimum they mean it.

I recently spent about $12 on some nuts at stewmac with no problems. I never saw anything about a minimum.

I'm moving forward. I took off the pickguard today to trace it and send the tracing and original pickguard to my grandfather. He's going to cut a template for me since he has a good amount of wood-working experience and he has the tools. He will then send the template back and I will cut the actual plastic material for the pickguard, using that template.

Since my current pickguard is gone, I must improvise! Behold the first guitar ever with a CARDBOARD pickguard! (and yes, it works)

Pics attached.
