Nope, not this time. And believe it or not, the guitar is 100% silent, even with high gain. No hiss, buzz, or anything. I might wire the guitar using that method eventually.

Okay.

Originally I was planning on a normal size pickguard, same exact as before except with the HSH setup. After playing around with the new setup a bit, I found that the neck humbucker is going to need it's own tone and volume pot eventually, because on the clean channel, the neck has a boost in volume and also needs more highs with lead. Also, eventually I'd like to make my pickup switching a but more versatile by putting in switches for all 3 pickups on at the same time and both humbuckers at the same time.

But, since I have full-size pots, I'm almost out of room in the control cavity, believe it or not. That means if I want more pots and switches, I will need a bigger cavity, which means larger pickguard!

So, right now I'm redesigning the size and shape of the pickguard to accomadate the new-sized cavity. It will stretch farther along the bridge and toward the back of the guitar.

By the way, I can't find any ball-bearing router bits for the Dremel. That means I'll have to let me grandpa cut plastic with his router.

couldn't you just get smaller pots?

Also, wouldn't backing up the neck 'bucker away from the strings solve the output issue?
thirdly, from what I understand, adding tone pots only serves to cut highs, thus, adding a tone pot isn't going to solve your need for more highs.

I can try. It was pretty far away already.

Now that I think of it again, I could just turn the highs up on the amp, then cut them on the bridge when needed. Good point.

On my Telecaster, I set the amp EQ to be optimal for the neck because the bridge was super bright but I found the neck to be just right. I usually set the tone knob for the bridge pickup about at about half. (the Tele Custom II has a 2 vol, 2 tone config)
