I've been using Antress' Modern Plugins these past couple years and have been fairly pleased with the Flashverb and Console EQ, as well as a couple others. He's got a bunch of plugins, so check them out.

Welcome to Antress Modern Plugins

It was stated in the first post of the thread, but Yohng's W1 Limiter is AMAZING, a perfect Waves L1 clone. Great for mastering.

Also for mastering, I've been diggin' FerricTDS (tape dynamic simulator) and Baxter EQ (shelving EQ).

NOT FREE AND NOT A VST, but related nonetheless (dearest mod, have mercy on my post):

If you're like me you're probably frustrated that you can't use your favorite free plugins inside of Adobe Audition because they're 32-bit and Audition is 64-bit only. Fortunately, there is a way around this: Jbridge (costs $20 but whatever) allows you to work around this limitation. In fact, you can do the following:

- Bridge 32-bit VSTs into a 64-bit DAW
- Bridge 64-bit VSTs into a 32-bit DAW
- Bridge 32-bit VSTs into a 32-bit DAW to work around memory limitations
- Bridge 64-bit VSTs into a 64-bit DAW to work around memory limitations

Handy dandy indeed. Has a Windows version and a Mac version.

PS: If this needs its own thread, go ahead.
