Question from the NEWB

In one of my car mags, I read about this advanced go cart with a butterfly clutch system

I saw a shifter with a lever in front
anyone know how it works?

Sorry guys, don't have a digital camera to post pics, me caveman, and lazy

sounds like a dogbox, with a motorcycle style shifter (5 speed cassette?)- on a motorcycle the shift lever is operated by the foot and it's 1st -N- 2/3/4/5/6, with neutral being a half click up from first, or a half click down from 2nd. Kind of weird.

get some scans, or some pics. I didn't see anything on a quick scan through google.
