| Mayes Stage Guitar For Sale A beautiful stage guitar built by John Mayes, a great luthier out of Norman, Oklahoma. Built by hand every step of the way and is the only first and only stage guitar built by John so far! The guitar is less than one year old and is in fabulous condition. Sounds terrific plugged in and is extremely easy and comfortable to play. Ideal if you're looking for an acoustic stage sound without the bulkiness of an acoustic guitar. I have the price listed at $2000, but I am willing to negotiate.
I've included one picture but if you're interested, I can email you more or take pictures of any part of the guitar that you'd like and send it to you also via email.
I'm located in Austin, TX. If you have any other questions please feel free to email me at Leumas1121@gmail.com or my cell phone is (512) 659 - 5871. Thanks!

| John Mayes is an exceptional luthier who's work speaks for itself. He really puts 110% into his work, and if im not mistaken, is also a christian. This is interesting, as ive never seen, (and didnt know he made) a solidbody acoustic. This also needs to be moved to the Classifieds.

| the guitar isn't a solidbody, it's actually hollow so it's really light and easy to play. also, you're right about how it should be moved to the classifieds, i overlooked that when i was trying to figure out which thread to put it in! do i move it or does an administrator do that for me? |

| it's cool to know that this guy's work has spread considerable through word-of-mouth, but unless someone is familiar with his work, I'm talking first hand here, I don't think they'd drop $2K on a guitar without at least playing it first. Do you have any sort of "guaranteed-if-you-don't-like-it-return-it" deal?

| I've seen in before. I believe he was advertising it at the David Crowder boards a while back. Not sure it was there though. I'm pretty sure he was a relatively regular poster as well. whooooooosh....

| Hi, the person who I bought it originally from was the person who posted it on the Dave Crowder Board as I know I haven't posted on that board about this guitar yet. I bought it about a month or so back and have decided that this guitar wasn't really for me. It's not anything about the sound or worksmanship of the guitar. The actual guitar is about as nice as I could ask for in terms of sound and quality. The reason I am selling is because my taste in music and what I want to do have changed and I have realized that I could use the money I invested in the guitar in a way that better fit my musical goals. As for a try out period, I'd have to talk directly with someone who is interested and we coudl try to work something out, but I am willing to be flexible and negotiate as long as the buyer seemed genuinely interested.
Please feel free to email me questions about the guitar! It's a really beautiful instrument! |
