There is a man who lives on the top floor of a very tall building. Everyday he gets the elevator down to the ground floor to leave the building to go to work. Upon returning from work though, he can only travel half way up in the lift and has to walk the rest of the way unless it's raining! Why?

A man without eyes sees plums on a tree. He neither takes plums nor leaves plums. How can this be?

A woman had two sons who were born on the same hour of the same day of the same year. But they were not twins. How could this be so?

Because he's too short and can't reach the higher level's buttons on the elevator without an umbrella.

Nah, I don't think that is a very good answer.
Why wouldn't he just bring a pointer, or jump?
It says he CAN ONLY travel... not he CHOOSES TO ONLY travel...

Exactly. Because he's too short and can't reach the higher level's buttons on the elevator without an umbrella.

He CAN ONLY travel halfway when it's not raining. Do you have an explanation? What else would rain have to do with an elevator?

to answer the last one....

you never specified that they were born in the same month.. they could be exactly 9 months apart, to the day, hour, year... but a different month

or you could go with the other answer, that one was adopted

the second one:

the blind man can see plums on a tree, but that doesnt' mean that they exist, therefore, if he only sees them, as in imagining them, than he can neither take plums or leave plums
