I really like Chopin and Debussey...esp. the Raindrop Prelude by Chopin (one of my recent recital pieces) and any of Debusseys more convoluted pieces...seriously he sounds like hewas on some kind of drug while he was writing and it sounds very cool...like Classical mixed w/ Alice in Wonderland

I love Terra's Theme in piano. Another good piano piece is Parasites Eve Main Theme in piano.

I also like Cristofori's Dream on the cd of the same name, by David Lanz.

And of course I have a taste for Beethoven's stuff.

Coolness, I'll be sure to check it out. Do you happen to know off-hand where I could find sheet music for it???? I could always search for it... but if you already knew a site with it, that would make my search easier!

I really love Piano Concerto No. 3 (Opus 30) by Rachmaninoff and a lot of his other stuff. Also Fantasy in D minor (K. 397) by Mozart. i don't like anything that's way repeditive...like non stop eighth or sixteenth notes...most of the time.

i can play a bit of the rachmaninoff and all of fantasy in d minor. :0)

Fav Piano Piece

I also like Chopin. My favourite piece(s) is his "Concerto for Piano and Orchestra no.1 in E minor, op.11", this concerto really left me breathless since the first time I heard it 3 years ago, and I never changed my favourites list since then!! It has beautiful Melodies and the piano skill level is absolutely incredible (especially in the 3. Movement).

Unfortunately I can only play part of the 2. Movement, as my skill is not so advanced (yet) ;-)

oh, yeah, the Chopin Concerto is one of my faves too. You should check out the recording by Zubin Mehta and Murray Perahia (I think it's by Sony, could be wrong.) It's the best recording I've heard of it yet. It's great.
I can only play a bit of the second mov't too, every time I start practicing it, I end up quitting and just putting on the CD, 'cause I can't stand to hear myself butchering it!
