Um Yeah, I would find it incredibly weird and be creeped out if a guy I had never talked to came up and asked me out. I would not be so surprised though if they just came up and talked to me, and introduced themselves. You need to lay a little groundwork before you go in for the harvest (as my dad always says). I would say, make yourself friendly, get to know her by just talking to her at school, and asking her questions.
