Besides 'My dog ate it'...

What other funny homework excuses can you think of?

"My homework was in my pocket and I went to ride a roller coaster and my homework dropped out." is one I can think of.

It's funny when you make jokes in class about excuses that will never work out with the teacher.

well, not quite an excuse, but if your teacher asks for a 2000-word paper just draw two pictures on it and turn it in.

I say "I didn't do it."

If the teacher gets mad, I say "That's what zeros are for."

I hate it when high-school teachers try and use stuff like referrals to force their students to do their work.

Title your paper "Writer's block" and turn in a paper with the heading and nothing else.

As for excuses, it's old, but claiming that homework goes against the laws of your religion is one.

This is only school related, but in high school, a friend and I were in economics together. He worked really hard. I slept, and occasionally did an assignment or two.

Who got the better grade? I did, by at least a half point, because I did the right work at the right time.

When went to college, he registered before school was out. I registered just a week before SPRING classes started. I got all the classes I wanted at the time I wanted.

Moral of the story? Screw the fables, grasshoppers get by just as fine as ants.

Sweet.

Some teachers don't get mad and they're just like 'yeah, you got a 0.' But when they do they're like '

Anyway, they're like 'This is an honors class and you have high expectations...'

And, um, "my cousin died".
