| I'll say this is a way that's nice to west coasters.. I'm very happy about which guys went home, that said, I'm somewhat disappointed about the second females departure.. Oh well, we got good results tonight.. =)

| I would have liked to have seen Bucky have gone not Gedeon. The women worked out well, Kinnick leaving was long over due. Ayla was ok, but really lacked personality in singing. Melissa needs better song choices. Mandissa still pwns.

| How can you guys not like Taylor Hicks?!? He's so freakin' awesome!!! And I thought Will was pretty good too. The people that I wanted to leave tonight were Gideon (which he did, yay), Bucky, Kinnik (she did also), and Melissa.

| I can't figure out for the life of me why no one likes Bucky! He's awesome!
But I don't want him to win, really. I want Chris to win...I think he and Taylor are probably the most talented and out of those two, I prefer Chris. Even if he doesn't win this competition, I get the feeling he's going to make it elsewhere.

| Taylor is probably the only guy other than Chris that actually stands a chance. The guys have been extremely weak this year.

He's so unique and talented, when he sang his song on Wednesday I was grinning from ear to ear! His dance was awesome, I'm going to start dancing like him now! Haha!
I thought both the guys and the girls are strong this year. What about Elliot? He's got an amazing voice! Ace is pretty good, I like his falsetto. Kevin is pretty good too, but I don't really his lisp. And then I like Bucky's Country/Rock style, but he doesn't have an amazing voice. But Chris and Taylor are definitely the best out of the guys. I've heard some people say that the guys have it this year.
For the girls I think that Paris, Lisa, Mandisa, and Cathrine have the best voices. They are all amazing! Kellie has a nice voice not as good as those other four, but she's definitely got the cute factor, and what me and my mom notcied is she seems so naive. Haha. And then Melissa has a very unique voice, but it's not the best, I think she'll be next to go home.

| I get annoyed when people compare Kellie to Carrie...even Simon said he liked Kellie better. I think she has a nice voice, and she's really sweet but if she goes into country it's going to seem like she's just a Carrie Underwood clone.

| Melissa needs to stop singing powerhouse vocal songs... She doesn't have that. She needs to stay mellow, and dark, and smokey.
Catherine is really on, or really off. She is too hit and miss to make it far.

| I agree completely that Chris and Taylor are the only two guys that really stand much of a chance of making the top 4 or better. For the girls I originally thought Kellie was a shoe-in, but not really anymore. Simon has a ton of favoritism towards her and makes comments that it's not entirely the singing voice that will get you far, but also your stage presence. Then he proceeds to rip up another contestant who has great stage presence but a voice that's lacking, and states that "that last note was your ticket home". Kellie has a *good* voice, but not an amazing one. She could still make the top 4 or better though because of her good voice combined with her great personality.
Honestly though I think Catherine, Paris and Mandissa have the top 3 positions for girls nailed down. Catherine sings incredibly and makes it sound completely effortless, just as Simon noted. Mandissa has some SOUL, and Paris is right there in that same category. Paris also has some great stage presence.
I honestly think Chris will take the cake for #1 however. Combined with being a strong Christian, I'm rooting for him.
On a side note, did anybody catch Bo Bice last night? It's been a long time since I've heard such an UN-original song, combined with vocals that were mediocre AT BEST! I can only imagine what the judges were thinking while watching that horrible performance. Probably something along the lines of "well, there goes OUR credibility - can't believe we put HIM through!"
It was seriously and laughably a lousy performance. Can't believe his album is approaching platinum status. Hopefully that song was representative of his album as a whole! |

Anyway, was it just me, or did Bo get as much/more applause that Carry(Carrie?) Underwood received?
