Bubble

New Soderbergh film. Simultaneous release in theaters, on premium (HD) cable, and on DVD this Friday (for theaters and cable) and the following Tuesday (for DVD). I've got my Brighthouse-provided-HD-Tivo-ripoff set to record it Friday night, and I'm buying the necessary cables and adapters to output it to my computer monitor (because my TV doesn't do HD resolution). I'm psyched.

1. What do you think of the experimental release format?
2. What do you think of the movie (well, once someone's actually seen it)?

Does he have a reason for releasing it in such an unusual manner?

I think it would be sweet if I could order a new film on pay per view instead of going to a theater (though I enjoy the theater experience too).

Hmmmm. I'm interested now, for sure. It's curious that Mark Cuban is involved (I'm assuming this Mark Cuban is the same as the NBA team owner). Also, I think it's interesting that he doesn't have any big stars in the film. Quite a contrast from his previous star-studded efforts.

Mark Cuban is a special man. NBA, video games, and now Cinema. Wow.
