The sound of your ac30 sounds pretty cool. Theres lots of highs but it doesnt hurt you ears as the engl screamer can do. |
Just thought I'd clarify on the recording. All it is is one 57 that was hung by the cable from the front because we didn't have enough mic stands. I tried to get it a little off center, but technically it wasn't the best mic positioning for a real recording. Plus, if it were serious, I woulda overdubbed a few more tracks over it and put a couple more mics on the amp. Once I get some recordings I did for a friend of mine done, you can hear how the amp sounds in a real studio setting.
One thing I might consider before trading your amp is to wait till you upgrade to a better guitar. Your amp isn't bad at all, just perhaps not the tone you're looking for. Your guitar on the other hand could use an upgrade. So who knows, it might give you what you're looking for and you won't have to go through the ordeal of trading the amp.
