I play an Alvarez. It was a gift from my parents (actually a bribe to give back my dad's guitar), and though I don't know the exact price, it's listed at around $350. I'm about to buy (Monday) a new Alvarez FD60 Elec/Acc. It's listed at $850. I also own a Gibson B-25.

I'm about to add a Takamine to my collection. Well a Jasmine, but it's pretty much the same thing. Hopefully tomorrow.

  • Alvarez 6-string (1973)
  • Alvarez 12-string (1979)
  • Fender Strat (Standard)
  • Gibson Les Paul Junior (1956!!)

Love the Alvarez sound - very good low-end bass. The 6-string has a great thin neck, very much like the Strat.

Strat is, well, a Strat - extremely easy to play.

Les Paul Jr is getting old (duh) - just had to replace the Kluson tuning pegs because the originals disintegrated, and the pickup (original) needs to be replaced with a humbucker, but can't find a good one that'll fit in the hole and use the original "soapbox" pickup cover.

Very generous parents! Wish mine woulda bought me a Les Paul when I was living at home. My Jr. was a gift from my uncle, who bought it when he was a kid and never played it much (although his daughters beat the stuffing out of it and messed up the finish quite a bit)

I play all acoustic. I have a Fender, a Takamine, and an Abilene. I like my Fender the best though.

i play my mom's old 6 string... a hippie 69' Giannini classical. It has a chewed up neck, But man, its got some sweet action... I jam out to a little Shane B and Caedmon's, and of course all the favorite prasie songs...

I'm currently looking at Martin D15's...mahogony's so sweet.

Peace,
