youth leader leaving.

I dont know where to post this but i am sure somebody will guide me to the right place. anyways....my youth leader...who i think is a great man...is split up with his wife...so the church asked him to step down from doing youth group and sunday school....so i am very upset and do not want to attend because a lady..who i honestly think is just doing it for a better name is doing it. I know i should go but...i am just kinda upset that that would happen...what should i do?

I think it's well within the church's bounds for them to ask that the leader step down. If he's having troubles at home, he needs to be dealing with that primarily. If the person who has taken over is not to your liking, pray that your view of her would be more in line with God's view of her and see what happens.

The Bible says the leaders of the Church are to be 'above reproach' this does not mean perfect, we all sin, but to have nothing in their lives where you could come up and say, "You're not living a life for God." Well, this is one of those things, the Church is right in asking him to step down. Pray for him, that God helps hik through his struggle.

The same thing happened to me. My youth leader was the funniest guy i have ever met or seen. You could talk to him about anything. And he could really relate. But he left the church, cant say why though. it kinda his buisness, but anyways, i really miss him.

C.S. Lewis said--in much different words--that there is no lesson that you can't get something out of if you pay attention and don't focus on the negative. I completely agree. Go and be the best student of God's Word you can be.

We've had three youth ministers in three years at my church. Try going and if you don't like it, don't go anymore, but do Bible study with yourself.

Hebrews 10:24-25
And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works, not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching.

Going to church is not really about whether we like it or not.
