Question Rivera amp (why do i have to pay in euros anyway? :\)

hey i just played a Rivera amp at my guitar store. its a real tube one with 50 watts and 2 channels: clean and distorted or whatever. the guy said its 1750 euros new but its second-hand so its just 800 euros. just want to know what you think of it and if Rivera is a good brand and if this is a good deal(wich is actually self explanatory).

Riveras = <3

Good amp? YES! Good deal, depends on the condition and such. If it's essentially in good wroking order, going from 1750 to 800 on pretty much anything is a good deal.

riveras are indeed excellent amps and if i were you, i would grab that one ASAP. im doubtful of the possiblity of this opportunity arising again, and for such a price as that, you wouldnt want to regret not taking advantage of it now.

the only problem of "asap" is that i just spent my whole money for the new guitar and it would take at least 7 months, more like 9 months till i have that amount of money again.

What model is it? I didn't think there were any single-channel Riveras out there for electrics...

The volume should do it.

Yes, higher-end amp tend to call the gain knob the "preamp" or "volume". It's the same as a gain. I still want to know what model this is...

A Rivera will definitely be a HUGE upgrade. Going from a cheap practice amp to a boutique tube combo.

not gonna waste money on steps in-between. except for lil things andso... i planned on buying a good distortion pedal with a tube in it or so. anyway a GOOD distortion pedal since i know my boss ds-2 just sounds like a bull pooping on a teachers head (just kiddin but the pedal just sounds awful). anyways... im not gonna make steps of 10 watt every new amp.
