Just don't get into the impression that watts determine how good an amp is- of course, you'll get many more low-end practice amps at 5w than you'll find good solid amps there, but you can have a sweet 5w amp- they do exist, although hard to find (or overly expensive- boutique?).

Amp sounds like a nice find.

I'm guessing you're referring to this
Quote:
Michael "Fish" Herring - Fonky Bald Heads, Prince, Christina Aguilera
i wouldn't think much of it...session players (i'm guessing he's one of them) play for the money...who cares if he's in Aguilera's backup band?

nah... of course it wont affect my decisions on wether i buy it or whatever. if i could have it i would have it already but to have the money it would take like 9 months and then without buying new clothes(wich ill need cuz im in the grow). so maybe it would take a year :-\.

Actually, I've played in front of 200 with a Cube 15.

I'm sure those guys know their tone, though. A lot of pop songs may suck, but some of those guitar tones are really sweet.

lol... the question is... were you heard?

my point about pop is that its music made so alot of people can listen to it. a little bit like making rock so your grandma can listen to it. and the top40 is invaded by hiphop and rnb and crap. the backstreet boys are pop 100%: 4 boys picked up on a beach because they look good and then on records pretend they can sing, with the help of a dozen hard-working mixers trying to make it sound good. its got nothing pure. i never want to be on the top40. i dont want my (band)name between all the other crap.

well... i dont mean the worldwide thing or so. if its like christianhardrock.net or christianrock.net or other plainly rock charts its alright. just not the thing where they add the pop-crap. DC-Talk may be christian pop but theyre not mainstream and i just like the rock tracks they have . do you get what i mean? as long as its not mainstream or too poppy(poopy). i consider relient k pop because everyone is like "YAY ITS SO FANTASTIC". my grandma can listen to it .

i hate to break it to you, but your favorite artists, Pillar and Demon Hunter are also mainstream...i'd bet 99% of what you listen to is mainstream...and you don't even know it.

I say that really only to make the point that gear is gear...there's no such thing as "rock" gear or "pop" gear or "hip-hop" gear.

Yes. It was a wedding.

And I don't like that way of making music, too commercial. I liked the good ol' days when people chose what music they liked, rather then having the "top" songs fed to them from the radio... anyway.

More like the Top 40 is invaded by crappy hip hop and RnB. There is good hip hop and RnB out there. Judging that a musical style sucks on the basis that the popular songs from it are bad songs is a bad call.

Is that a fact? Though most pop singers' songs don't have a ton of artistic merit attatched to them, those guys can sing.

Assuming your band is good, does that mean you're against bringing good music into the mainstream?

Man, this thread is getting off topic... Steve, intercede.

NOOOOO! DONT CLOSE!

Quote:

Demon Hunter was on mtv or so and on the resident evil track, i know. Pillar is having alot of shows, i know. but i mean theyre christian and not like U2 "most are christian but we aren't a christian band" (if you know what i mean). and if using the word mainstream in some way... we're in the world so we are in the mainstream by just breathing. then well have to wait for heaven so we wont be mainstream anymore. wich actually would define mainstream as "in the world". but you know the words "in the world but not from the world" (makes me think of Alien Youth - Skillet)

BTW: Don't close the thread. 2 more days and I know wich model and details it is to be sure.

BTW2: I just like to look on the internet for good christian artists and go to my local christian bookstore. i like to listen some of their cds and buy something. occasionally order something. bought MXPX - Panic lately. just liked it when I listened to it (and if you read on... i neede it to have some punk in my collection). wanna have a big CD collection when Im 40 and be proud of it. like when someone comes ill ask him what kind of music he likes and ill just look in the racks and: "heres some christian punk/metal/hardrock/industrial/whatever-you-want-to-fill-in for you" and ill put up a good album. a lil bit like i find it awesome to look at my uncles comic collection and read one. wanna be a lil like that but then with CDs (wich will get vintage sometime(not near to that tho, but the mp3 is threatening i guess)). ok too much blabering for now. i just like to type whatever comes into my mind.

Have a nice day. (and good night to everyone from my side of this planet)
