It was in the movie. I don't know, it was an analogy.
Which one would you prefer, they are both equal so you say.

No one ever was taking you seriously. The assumption that calling someone a name and killing them are the same is ridiculous.

You really have not made a serious point. A 3 year old could see through your argument.

He didn't call you three. He said a three year old could see how ridiculous your 'view' was.

i really think my whole point was lost, no where did i say calling names was as bad as killing in real life, but you took it that way, so i played along, it would be dumb to believe that, but with entertainmant, movies and tv shows which are fake anguish is anguish, we get enjoy out of both, be i physical or mental

ok, i see where thats confusing, becuase technically american idol is a "reality show", but we all know reality shows are about as real as kraft cheese slices so idont think of it as real life,... but i should used a better example

The thing is, why is there not a difference between enjoying torture and people making fools of themselves?

well, again thats just a difference is how we view that show, yes there are people like william hung(i dont know if thats how his name is spelled or not) who know there not gonna make it, but most of the people on that show honestly think they have what it takes, and that british guy( i dont know his name) just tears them apart, and its a selling point for that show that this guy destroys peoples dreams

Because that is what it takeas to be a singer. You can't be mildly good. He is helping them, most of them thing they are amazing vocalists and give up jobs, school, everything because they think they are so great. He has been a producer for 20+ years, he knows whatt good is. they were the ones that tried out, if they don't want to be told they suck, don't go on american idol. I would rather be told I suck then go through illusions of granduer and do absoluitely nothing with my life.
