We have a 19 year old "mutt", One Nine (formerly a trucker's dog), and a 5 year old cat, Sammy.

One Nine, a border collie, Patterdale terrior mix, has been a great dog. He's going on 20 years old, went deaf almost 3 years ago, and is slowing down. He won't be here much longer. I expect he'll pass in his sleep one of these days.

Sammy, the cat, is the finest source of entertainment I've seen in years. He's a great companion, and I have more of a personal "relationship" with him than I could have imagined.

I was never a cat person. Sammy converted me in minutes.

One Nine will likely be my last dog. Sammy won't be my last cat.

We have two 9-month old pups, Buddy and Bonnie, a Terrier/ Golden Retriever cross and a Black Lab/ Border Collie cross. They were rescued dogs and have adapted to there forever home very well.
