The behringer you were talking about is pretty good I've played out of one at the store once. But I would suggest the Behringer GMX212. I have one and it's awesome. 100 watts. 2 channels, both of which are fully flexible. Tons of preset effects. I've had it for a couple years now and never had a problem with it. It can get plenty loud. I payed about $300 for mine.

Here's a link to it.

I got a Phillips MP3 for Christmas. 2GB. I'm pretty sure it holds 1000 songs. Plus it's got a charger. I dunno how much it cost. It was a gift. But there's no way it was above 200. even 150. I swear it's almost as good as an Ipod.
Here's what i think you should do. you said your getting a job soon. you've already got a guitar right? So maybe you should just get the Ipod (or Phillips) and wait for the job. But if your having any second thoughts about the guitar, get the guitar.

There are many good mp3 players out there. iPod is just popular because its the easiest to use and its convenience dominates the others...but if you are computer savvy and have the time, save your money and buy a cheaper one. I recommend a Zen or Phillips. 4 Gigs is good for me. I dont know about you, but if you dont need much then go for a cheaper brand...but if you need above 15 gig, the iPod is the best route.

Thats just info on the mp3 player, no opinions.

hey thats a nice amp. say you were in a closed room, about a 100 ft by 100 ft, would it fill the room with a LOUD sound?

If you're going to get an amp, get a tube amp. Trust me, you'd be glad you did.

I don't see how it's funny. I've experienced solid state enough, I wish I would have gone tube in the first place.
