| ~Between steel and wooD~ Prelude It's New Year's Day all over the world (well, except NZ, part of Aussie, and Japan...)
CGR was down, so to the Americas, Europe, and Africa only, I guess.
What a good day to start a blog. It's time to kick off something new at the beginning of 2006. Last year was my best year so far.
My life: Over the years through the first half of 2005, I was driving, should I say...a "Chrysler". Yeah, it was just a plain ordinary car. But in the middle of 2005, I hitched a ride on a "Ferrari". I got baptized in July 2005 ! And I hope to continue driving it...or have an even better "vehicle".
My life 2: In a pitch dark hallway, I stumbled over random objects that were strewn about in my path. I fell many times, face to the ground, with cuts and bruises. Then, I saw a thin shaft of light in the doorway, just ahead of me. I went toward it and opened it a little. The soft light fell across the floor and right in my face. But then, I turned back and looked, and it made no sense at all. Why would I go back to the darkness? I kept going back and forth, to the door and away from it. Then, I decided. I was going to run head on (in July 2005). Lift my hands and spin around, See the light that I have found. Oh the marvelous light, Marvelous light! Into marvelous light I'm running, Out of darkness, out of shame. By the cross You are the truth, you are the life, you are the way. ~ part of 'Marvelous Light' - Charlie Hall
Of course, I'm not as good as I should be...
Yes, I have resolutions. They're hidden here.
Highlight: I need to pay more attention in church. There are so many distractions around.
I need to be more punctual for different events during the day.
I need to pray more and look at my prayer list every day.
I need to try to manage my homework better and have room for quiet time and music stuff.
May God guide us.
About ~FreT~ and "~Between steel and wooD~":
There's more to ~FreT~ than 6 characters. In those two links, I typed like a n00b , so I edited them.
More than just literally, steel and wood represent the trials and temptations we will face this year.
Attached below is the Prelude of the 1st suite from the 'Six Suites for Unaccompanied Cello' by J.S. Bach.
It will be updated frequently. I need to hold the first beat less...
I think it's my first piece of my recorded music that I've posted on CGR... (Soon to be edited).

| DUDE!! YOU GOT A BLOG!! AWESOME SAUCE!!
Excellent way and time to start, my friend.
Your resolutions intrigue me, as does your description of your life previously. Very well-put, I must say. *Smile*
God bless.

| Woh, how did you find this in the depths of '0-9' when I didn't tell you about it? Did no one else post in their blog when I was gone? Can't think of time...can't convert...how long since I was gone? |

| I was actually just cruisin' through the journals sub-forum and saw that the most recent post in here was in this blog. I guessed whose blog it was based on the title and the tildas to either side of it.
Uh...about a week? Not sure, exactly. Actually, a week would put you at the day after Christmas, and I think you left before that, didn't you? Not sure....
Anyways, how's life?

| Tildas?
Yes! I finally know what these (~) are: NOT squiggly things. Well, they're still technically squiggly. Tildas. Hmm... Quote: |

Not sure.... | No, I mean since I left for MO. But nevermind. I should talk about the awesome food and plane flights. But first,... Helllooooooooooooooooooooooooo........, for those of you who haven't met me before. My name is (That's 'Zhong Ren' if you can't read it). 'Zhong Ren' as in a first name, with no middle name, with last name 'Koh'. You will remember how to spell it, but wouldn't remember how to pronounce it. Yes, most people are like that. Other stuff about me? Well, you can guess my age as you take your journey through my blog. One post may look like I'm eleven and another may look like I'm seventeen. You can also guess my birthplace, my current location, my mom's name, or you could just click on 'public profile' ... ...but my mom's name is not in there so you'll have to guess it. |

My mom says that too.
Let's see if I can remember the Bible verse... "Suffering produces perserverance, perserverance produces character, and character, hope."
And that's somewhere in Romans...
Here's some Singaporean food!
My favorite, called char kway teow. Sometimes, there are cockles in them:
My second favorite but sister's favorite, chicken rice:
Nasi Lemak, which is more Malaysian oriented. There are no chicken wings in this picture : Laksa, good spicy soup:
The best place to find these are...dirty hawker centers!
I did not shoot these photos. Found 'em on Google.
Gonna missum.

And that's somewhere in Romans... | Yep, you're right, beginning of Romans 5. And there are others. I've long been greatly helped in my life by all of the (pretty tough!) verses in Hebrews 12:5-11.
Starts off telling us that God brings hardship/hard times/trials into our lives: Hebrews 12
6 For who the Lord loves he
chastens, and scourges every son
who he receives.
And yes, scourging there is like what happened to Jesus! Goes on to say how we won't like this, but then the wonderful promise of the final result: 11 Now no chastening for the
present seems to be joyous, but
grievous: nevertheless afterward it
yields a veritable harvest of the
peaceable fruit of RIGHTEOUSNESS
to them who are exercised by it.
I simply say a major WOW to that!
Yea, I can understand you missing all those different foods you like!
Blessings, Fret! (UC sent)

Oops, nearly forgot. Here's a 'summary' of the Hebrews verses done by rocker_chick (Izzy) when I showed them to her a little while ago. It's so well put that I decided to keep it: “its like God puts us through hard times so that in the end we figure out that he cares about us and is gonna be there for us because even in those hard times he is there with us. and in the end we are strengthened and we grow in christ!!!" |

One that I don't think about everyday. I studied Hebrews a very long time ago, so yeah, I forgot that that verse existed. Thank you.
Airplanes! They say getting there is half the fun (I still don't agree with that). But my point I was about to make was that the airplanes were cool. Last time, getting there was 1/64th the fun, but now, it's bumped up to 1/32nd!!
Listen, I've flown SQ (Singapore Airlines) many times before but I thought it was just incredible when I came on the flight from NY to Frankfurt. When I entered, I was looking at all these seats with TV screens on the backs of the seats and I thought, 'Yeah, first class. Keep going.' Then I realized that I passed my seat because the row number was too big. So I had to turn back and I caused a bit of a jam.
Why the incredibleness? Because I haven't flown SQ for quite a long time. I've been flying American Airlines, Delta, and Northwest for those regional flights in U.S. and Nippon Airlines or Korean Airlines for Singapore trips. SQ is expensive...
But the plane on the way back was even cooler. An Airbus A340-500.
(1) TV screens are bigger.
(2) More leg room.
(3) Best foot rests ever.
(4) Tray from arm rest, leaving space for 2 pockets and a cup holder on the back of the seat.
(5) Around 300 movies, CDs, radio stations, and TV channels to watch/listen to.
(6) Leg rest included.
(7) The back of the seat can go back farther.
(8) Supports on the sides of the head rest to keep you from falling onto your seatmate when you sleep.
I went to New Wark non-stop on the way back .
The Boeing 747-400:
The Airbus A340-500:
The thing looks like it could just fall...
Actually, both look like they could just fall...
~Creepy~
And, uh, Singapore's the first to have airbuses. It said so on the little napkins at meal times...
Gotta check the UC.
Next post, I will share a bit about my family...
I also have a special update on the first post . |

It's pretty heavy stuff, but we gotta get into the heavy ones if we're gonna grow to maturity like the New Testament says we must.
I just adore flying, but haven't been in a plane for so long I've just about forgotten what one looks like! The pics are great, Fret. That Airbus looks magic! Including the 300 movies. Wow! I am sitting here green with envy at all the flying you get to enjoy! And yeah, I know we're told not to envy, so I'm not really envying you, but I'd sure like to be able to be with you on every plane you get to fly on!!!
Bless ya, man!

Hey, I'm hungry.
*Has jetlag*. | Oops, sorry for a double post here. I simply forgot there were two to respond to. *tired brain!* To read Butterfly16's blog just go to Journals then click on B, and you'll find one with her name under it (I think it's "My Life and My Thoughts"). There you'll find all the posts, including ones from me. If you read, you'll see things you can pray for if you would like to do that. She needs lots of prayer, and appreciates those who do pray for her.
Sorry also about not accepting PM's/Emails via CGR. Long story. But you can contact me via my Sig. if you look hard.
Hmmm, jetlag it not good! All my flying in times past has never been in such a way as to produce jetlag, so I don't really know what it's like, but it doesn't sound very nice, I must admit! |
