Here's the first electric I paid for myself--paid for by a summer job.

I got a used 79 Iceman.

I'd wanted an Iceman for a while, and had seen some other ones in stores, but didn't have the money.

This one was at a different store, and on sale--so I had to get it.
The shape is nicely balanced and easy to play.

And I love the neck on it. (Volute and all)

While I was looking around to buy a guitar (Before I bought my Iceman) I came across a Mustang and loved it, but couldn't afford it. Later another store had a couple, but again I couldn't afford one. So one pay day I went to that store to buy a phase shifter, and saw the Mustangs were on sale--so I had to get one, as it was affordable now. So I had a vibrato and a single coil. So more variety.
It's a real fun guitar-

Next for me is this Les Paul.

It's an early Norlin era Custom with the pancake body and had been heavily modded, so I got it cheap (used, modded) I put some Seymour Duncans in it--the original pickups weren't in it, changed a few other things, and it plays great.
It has little, if any collectors value due to the mods it already had, and so I felt free to mod it to my taste. Even with what I paid for arts, and some of the work, it was a great deal.

I really enjoy playing this guitar, sounds great, plays great. It feels like it's a part of me.

Here's my acoustic 12 string--with a cedar top.
It's a Simon & Patrick--great value for the money in these ones.
I later found out cedar tops are softer--so mine is scratched up and has a crack from my elbow when I jammed it into the top when the strap was slipping.
But it still sounds great, even if it is a little beat up.

The electric guitar is a Squier strat mini. Eventually (hopefully soon) I'm going to replace the bridge pickup with a humbucker. The acoustic is a Abilene (not sure about the model) and the bass (which isn't actually mine, it's my friends but I'm indefinitely using it) is a Silvertone bass

I went many years before getting another guitar--I set out to get a resonator--but when an affordable one was not available I started looking at other stuff, and I came to want a hollow body archtop (I wanted something different than my other guitars), I used to not like archtops, but over the years that opinion softened and changed--and now I love this Ibanez AF95 full hollow archtop.

Built a new board today. I was tired of lugging an 8 pound volume pedal on my board so I took it off. Then I decided to just build a new one. Here are some pics.

picture-003.jpg

Signal is:

American 57 Reissue strat-->OCD-->OCD--Dual looper-->Volume pedal in loop 1-->Polytune in loop 2-->Nova Delay-->Fender Deville or Silverface Princeton.

I installed 4 jacks on the back. Input, output, and connection attached to loop 1 of the looper. That way I can leave my volume pedal at church as I do not ever use it at home. I can also add other pedals into the loop if desired. Pedal power is under the board with most of the cabling. The only thing I forgot to do was install the power recepticle. This is a pain now as I installed a closed bottom on the board. Oh well. I'll get to it next week

I guess I will chime in here. Its been 7 years since I picked up a guitar, but I pulled them out of storage to get back into it.

Squier Tele and a Fender Stage 112 SE is my go to rig.
