Christmas Carols!

Who sang Christmas carols this year? Who's going to tonight? How did it go? Could anyone else in your group sing?

My little discipleship group and I went 6 days ago (monday) and it went pretty well. We covered most of the songs, and most of the other people in the group could sing David and I were suprised, as we were saying just before we went out that we'd probably have to keep the tune

I sang Christmas carols at a live nativity a few weeks ago. I was the only one who could play guitar and I didn't have any chord sheets so that was interesting in itself. Most of the people were able to sing pretty well. This one girl was singing really really loud and she can sing good and all but she kept on singing the wrong tune. For example, we started singing "It Came Upon a Midnight Clear" and by the end of the song we were in the tune of "God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen." It was hilarious.

I went caroling a couple weeks ago with one of my church's youth groups. A couple of the moms who came sing very well, and a few of the kids were good. There weren't too many tone-deaf carolers (which is always a plus), but we were singing a capella, which is difficult for a lot of people... so I sang loudly.

I went caroling the Sunday before Christmas with my church choir. Since we are all amazing vocalists ([/humility]), we did well. We caroled the bejeezus out of an old folks' home. Those old people didn't know what hit 'em. It was a slam-bam-e-flat-sam affair. Hit and run. *sinister*

Now thou hast loved me one whole day,
To-morrow when thou leavest, what wilt thou say ?
Wilt thou then antedate some new-made vow ?
Or say that now
We are not just those persons which we were ?

My youth group went to a Children's home up the road aways from my church. My brother and I brought our guitars and my youth leader is the lead singer in our quartet at church. Everyone sang really well (surprisingly enough). And I sang loud some to help out the group.
