| 14% Emo. So here's the deal, I already have both a livejournal and a xanga account, so I don't really feel the need to start a journal here. However, I felt to be fair to you all that I would post at least once, because I do want to be your friend after all. So unless people reply, you probably won't here from me much here.
But I would like to include something of substance in this first journal entry, as it were, so here it goes. I've decided on my New Year's resolutioon for 2006. Recently I have been really into making resolutions that I can keep. That means that it has to be something that I've already been thinking about doing or changing in my life for a while. And it has to be something that will have long-term benefits that last when the year is over. For example, 2004's resolution was to not buy any new clothing all year (excepting, of course, for when I needed socks and other necessities), and 2005 has been a year of not watching any TV. So 2004 was all about realizing that who I am is not determined by the clothes I wear, and 2005 was more about purity of the mind and having more time to spend with real people instead of characters on shows.
So, 2006 will be a year of fiscal fitness. I've decided my financial life could use some work, so I'm actually going to make a monthy budget and do my best to stick to it. I may even go as far as keeping track of reciepts to see exactly what I'm spending my money on. It's something I've been needing to do for some time now, and I think I'm finally ready.
Ok, so that's all for now. I could go on, but I'll wait to see if anybody even reads this.
be safe and healthy,
Rachael

| Mmm. Hmm. And a good day it is. I wrote my last final today. I still have two assignments to turn in, and then the semester is officially over! Then the only thing I'll have left to do is keep my fingers crossed. This may be the first semester that I fail a class unintentionally.
Here is the quote of the week from a friend:

Okay, that works. Sweet.
I reflected on it a bit, and realized that I don't really do anything very unsafe. But I don't eat all that healthily, so I suppose that's the portion I take/took issue to.

| I feel like I can float! My exams and papers are DONE. I am done, but I am still anxious. I may not have passed a class that I'm pretty sure I need to graduate. I went to go turn in the last thing for it today and the prof had already left for his Christmas break. I missed him by a half an hour apparently. I emailed him, so hopefully things will work out. I thought there was some sort of rule about profs having to stay until the end of finals. There should be one.
The best part about being done with school is now I can play spider solitaire without the guilt. I tried so many times last night to win on the difficult level. I swear! It's near impossible. I've decided that Dan and Dave need some sort of game system in their room. Even a Super Nintendo or Sega Genesis will do. I just want to play a little Mario Bros. or Sonic every now and then.
Right now I'm going through all my pictures on photobucket and saving them to my computer. It seems kind of useless, but sometimes I want to see my pictures while I'm not on the internet, so it makes sense. I should probably be working on finishing my roommate's Christmas present. I'm crocheting her a scarf... awww, I know, how sweet.
be safe and healthy,
Rachael

By the way, Rachael, you're one lucky girl. Mr. Daniel is a hot piece of manmeat, and if I was female/gay, I would've been all over him long ago. Hell, I'm all over him now, and I'm straight and married. But I'm also sexually confused. Anyways.

There should be one. | If a professor leaves early, all students should be granted an A+ and his semester's salary should be split equally amongst all the students. I'm sure they would find ways to stick around. Quote: |

| You could buy Skeeter a N64 for Christmas, or, if you're feeling especially generous, you could get the pair of them a PSP and watch them fight over it. That would be interesting. Quote: |

| All of my family (Well, my sisters/mother and Dad is helping those who need an experienced mentor) is knitting scarfs at the moment, a trend set off by my sisters devotion to a scarf my band's former keyboardist knitted for herself. That is sweet, probably much sweeter than I could bring myself to be.

Thanks for the rejoicing, though. Quick! Pretend it's Monday... HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!

| Yes, it would be, but then I would never get a chance to play it. Quote: |

| My grandma taught me how to knit long ago. I wish I could remember how now. I think it makes for prettier scarves than crocheting.

And the fact that I'm straighter than the shortest distance between two points. |
