I've been watching it on TV and I'm rather shocked it has come to this. Does it really achieve anything except more fights and strife between religions?

Its not something new. The tensions have been building for decades and the police and government have done nothing about it.

It is not really a racist thing. It is more of a gang thing. Lebanese gangs have been going to the beaches for a long time, not to use the beach but simply to stir up trouble. There is a culture of them as gangs coming over and stiring things up. They have been rumbiling for a fight for a long time.

The problem is by all the politicians making it a race thing, they are missing the major issues. The fact that gangs are allowed to roam about is a farce, and something should have been done about it a long time ago.

The beating up of the lifeguard was the last straw for many, and what has happened since then has been shocking and terrible, and things should have been done 20 or 30 years ago to stop this from happening.

Gosh, I was appalled when I saw this on television. But what can you do? You can't put brains into monuments, as my Father has always said. These kids need sense beaten into them.
