I just read the review for that. Geez! I can see why you left the theater, it sounds horrible. That's a bummer too, cuz he seemed like kind of a decent guy. Oh well, it's Hollywood I guess.

Watch Swing Kids. Great movie, IMHO. I don't recall him having a major role. Enough to watch it, though.

Ouch. Did you know he had to lose 63 pounds to be in the Machinist, and then he had to get all muscly for Batman only a year after? Talk about painful.

More specifically, he ended up putting on 100 pounds in 6 months. When he showed up for his first day officially training for Batman he was 25 or 30 pounds OVERWEIGHT for the part.

that's disgusting. It just makes me sick to think about having to lose that much weight for a stupid movie, and then having to ACT like it's okay. He's a brilliant actor, just not very brilliant upstairs

Its his job. Part of being an actor is having to change for parts. Some people think that its crazy to lock ones self in an office doing paper work 40 hours a week. Other people think its crazy to work with junior highers. Being fully dedicated to part is just another example of that.

I'm not saying it's wrong to be devoted to a part. But losing over 60 pounds when one is not even close to overweight seems foolish. But that could just be my good-old-fashioned common sense kicking in. either way, he's still a great actor.

The fight choreography seemed too forced to me. If felt like the director was nudging me with his elbow saying "See look...look what we came up with...see," during the fights.
I think that's a very good critique.
