I know that although there is a FAQ, most people do not read it and those who do will probably still be confused as to how to place the picture under your name. This thread is designed to help you understand how to place, edit, and delete an avatar (the little picture) from your account.

(For a premade avatar)
1) CLICK HERE
2) Select the avatar you wish to use
3) Click SUBMIT Modifications

(For a CUSTOM avatar) -- Custom means you wish to use your own image.
1) CLICK HERE
2) Go to the bottom of the page where it says CUSTOM AVATARS
3) If you have an image on the internet, place the image's location in this box. If you don't understand what I'm saying, skip this step.
4) Most people will UPLOAD their avatar. This means to place it on the internet FROM your computer. Bear in mind the image can't be larger than 90x90 pixels and 30 KB. (125x125 for paid members)

IMAGE MUST BE SMALLER THAN THIS:


Click the BROWSE button. This allows you to locate the file you want to use as your avatar on the CGR Message Boards. Click OK once you have selected your image and then SUBMIT MODIFICATIONS.

5) Enjoy your avatar.


To change your avatar, just go into the avatar screen and choose another Avatar / Upload a new avatar.

To delete your avatar / do not use an avatar, select "Do not use an avatar" at the selection box at the top of the Avatar page.



To put an image in your sig type <img src="http://host.com/yoursite/pic.jpg">

Make sure that the picture isnt hosted on angelfire or geocities, they don't allow you to link your pics to other sites.
