| Ideas for Jr High Hi! I am a Middle School Youth Worship Leader. I am anting to do somthing different and exciting for worship this week. Instead of doing an entire "song set" I am wanting to do someype of game or activity relating to worship that shows the kids that worship can be fn and doesnt have to come in the form of a song.
Any ideas would be GREAT!!!!!

| Check out a book called Purpose Driven Youth Ministry by Doug Fields. It won't necessarily give you specific games or such that you can use this weekend, but it will give you a model on how to expand your youth meetings to include much more than just music or games.

| I've been doing music with my jr. highs for the past few weeks... I wrote my own version of Jesus Loves Me... one of the verses isn't theologically sound, so I'm fixing it up, but other than that they like the tune, etc...
I also have been doing fun songs, ie. I am a C, Jehovah Jireh
and a few older songs: Behold what manner, Create in me a clean Heart.

| I'm just curious, which verse in Jesus Loves Me is not theologically sound?

| The one I made up... He still loves you everyday, if you serve him in every way. That is why we follow him. He's our joy, our everything.
I'm thinking of how I could change it... I have a few ideas, but nothing's in stone yet. Any other ideas would be good for now!

That's really cool... the guy who wrote them (Steven Tighe) was my high school youth leader, mentor of sorts, and just an awesome guy...
Do you know him, or...? Just curious how you learned those songs... | WOW! You know them too???
My youth group leader taught them to us, he plays them on guitar and everything!
Do you have the chords or even all the lyrics??? |

who's your youth group leader? (wondering what the connection is... there's got to be somebody i know somewhere along the line ) | Could you email/PM me or post the lyrics and chords to those two songs? And other songs would be great too!
Matt Russel is my youth pastors name... |

| I fixed up my non-theologically sound Jesus Loves Me verse
He died for our sins on Calvary, he deserved nothing, yet he still died for me.
That is why, we follow him. He's our joy, our everything.
And I also made a new arrangement to This is the Day.

| That's what my first version was... it didn't work out too well because it made it sound like God only loves you IF and only IF you serve him in every way...
