| Where is the Texas Hold 'Em? There are no Texas poker threads. Who else pretty much thinks this is the best card game ever?

| I love it! I am very bad, though. Every time I have played I have had to leave before the game is over and cash in and break even... I guess it could be worse! |

| How much have you guys won with it? I've won about 20 bucks total.
I love playing this on wrestling raod trips because I steal all the money from the state champions. I have never lost poker to a guy who has beat me on the mat.

| It's illegal to play for money in the state of Ohio. So when I play it we play for random things. Once we only had cheerios and milk. So we got out bowls and played for cheerios. The person to win got milk to go over their cheerios. It was a blast. But when I went to Toronto with my friends, I played and won $500. But I haven't played for money in like a year and a half. I love no-limit texas hold'em , and just playing for the chips. We have a get together in our area for young adults ages 18-30 every sunday night. I win quite often. I always beat the guys, and they get mad at me... hehe.... |

There is something about wanting to beat the ladies and not look afraid that makes guys play more bad hands vs girls in hopes of out drawing them. A guy is far less likely to fold vs a girl than vs another guy.

I beat certain guys every Sunday, because we always play at the same table. So why would a guy continously play me? To try and beat me? I play conservatively, until the end when I have enough chips built up then I take risks at the end when there are only a few players left. |

It is just something interesting.

I play with people like that and I crush them. In fact, I did about thirty minutes ago. Bu t, if it works, whatever.

| but... but... but... poker isn't really a card game so much as a bidding game that happens to use cards as a deciding factor (when needed, which turns out to be rather rare, relatively speaking). although the cards certainly matter, they are not the point of the game. you could play an entire game of poker and never see another person's hand or compare two people's hands.
cribbage is the best card game ever.
