hey....right now i play guitar and played piano when i was little. I kinda want to try to learn the basics of piano again just so i can get another instrument down. In the past i've found that its not to hard for me to teach to myself...so im gonna go for it. I was wonderin if anyone knew any really good/ piano books that i could get and that dont lose u half way thru the introduction. Or any tips on startin out to play would be great. Thanks ya'll

Talking Hope I can help.....

Well, the books that I learned with were "Alfred's Basic Adult Piano Lessons" or something like that........ maybe "Alfred's Adult Basic Lessons for Piano" or "Basic Adult Piano Lessons by Alfred" or something, but that's what it was. I found it worked pretty well............ I don't think you'll get lost in the intro, and it works you up to pretty decent sounding stuff pretty quick. It also does quite a bit with chords and how to play with them, which is essential for playing P&W music.

Besides method books, I would recommend going to a local music store and looking for books that match the kind of styles you want to play......... you should be able to find blues, jazz, rock, country, classical, etc piano books at any decent sized music store. If you want to play mostly praise and worship........ I'd probably recommend getting a "Rock" keyboard book. Hope this helps...... try looking at www.musiciansfriend.com and www.sheetmusicplus.com....... those both have tons of music books that you could look through. Hope this helps......
