My range really depends on what I'm trying to sing. Comfortably I can get down to about the G2 (the fat E string on the 3rd fret), and if I stretch it I can get down to the E below that, but definitely uncomfortable there. In my chest voice I can comfortably get to about the Eb-E above the middle C. If I'm warmed up well and I really belt it out, I've been able to coax my chest voice up to the G# above that - that high G# seems to be really important these days - so many songs seem to go up there. In my head voice/falsetto, I've been able to reach the tenor high C with pretty good volume. Now it's just a matter of being able to control it properly all the time.

I can hit the high notes, but I can't stay there like some people do - my voice definitely gets tired out from those notes. I say that we need to get some baritone and bass worship leaders out there to even the numbers out a bit. Does anybody else think that all of the worship leaders these days seem to be tenors, or is that just my imagination?

My equipment:

Taylor 814CE Acoustic Guitar

Gibson Les Paul Classic

I can go as low as the F on the first fret of the low E string of a guitar and with my full chest voice, I can hit the A above middle C, but just barely. I can go higher, but it comes out gritty which I don't like.

From the third fret on the low E to the 17th fret on the high E.

My range is decent but I just can't sing.
