How do I submit tabs to this site?
Visit this page.

I submitted a tab a while back. Why has it not appeared?
The way the system works is once you submit a tab, if the artist is already on the site, it goes to the Artist Admin for that band. The Artist Admin will check his certain page and if there isn't a tab like it already on the site, he will approve it.
If there is another tab like it on the site, generally he'll see if the two different tabs are very similar or if there is a note from the person submitting the tab saying why they are submitting a second tab for that song. If no reason is given or the two tabs look nearly identical he will delete it.
If your tab is for a new artist, you have to wait for the admins to add a new section for that band.
Remember the Artist Admins are volunteers. They do this on their free time whenever they can get to it.

Why are there no lyrics on the tabs?
Simply, it is illegal for us to post the full lyrics to songs. Please submit your tabs without lyrics and refrain from posting lyrics on the forums. For a more lengthy explanation please go here

I found an offensive advertisement, why does CGR allow these advertisements to be displayed on its site?
It is expensive for a site as large as CGR to operate. In order to alleviate some of these expenses, CGR needs to place advertisements throughout the site. CGR, however, does not have full control over the advertisements on the main section of the site. If you have found an advertisement that is offensive, please tell us where the ad was found and give us the link to where the ad leads and the administrators will block the ad from reappearing. If you do not post a link that shows where the ad leaves, it is impossible for us to block it, so this must be done.

What is the command structure on CGR?
Moderators are in charge of specific forums. I'm a moderator in CPF, so I can close threads, edit/delete posts, sticky threads, or move threads out of CPF. I can't do any of these in Journals, General Discussion, or any other forum, though.
Supermoderators are just like moderators, only they mod all the forums. They can also ban people, or change avatars or sigs if you get on their bad side.
Administrators are like supermods, but they have the ability to change parts of the site (create or shut down entire forums, change the color scheme to pink and green instead of blue and grey, etc), add or remove moderators from forums, and can IP ban people (rather than banning accounts).
A list of all the mods, Smods, and admins can be found on this page.

How do I change my username?
At one time we allowed members to request a name change. However, we have discontinued this practice and you must keep whatever name you currently have. DO NOT create another username on this site; doing so is grounds for being banned. If a problem (e.g. a segurity issue) arises due to your username, PM one of the site administrators.
Answer by: Boy Genius

Can I delete my account?
There ARE instances in which accounts can be deleted, but you'll need to PM an administrator to do so. If your reasoning behind it is valid enough to warrant deleting your account (i.e. your personal safety and/or security) then it will be done, but circumstances must be pretty substantial to do so.

I posted a thread and it disappeared/was deleted/was closed. Why?
Most likely, your thread was deleted, moved, or closed by a mod in whichever forum you posted it in. This could be for a variety of reasons, including that it may have been considered too cheap, it might not be pertinent to the forum it was posted in, or it could have been discussing a subject not allowed on CGR (e.g. sex or masturbation). If you have an issue with this, please take it up with whichever mod did so. If you are not satisfied after doing this, then you should move up the chain of command to a Smod (Super Moderator) and after that to an Admin. Remember, all such communication should be kept private in the form of PM’s or email. DO NOT post threads complaining about moderators and/or their actions on anywhere on the boards for all to see.

I receieved an infraction. What is that?
An infraction is an automated system used by the administration at CGR to make disciplinary measures easier.
There are two degrees of infractions. Yellow cards are a warning only and are more commonly used if a user is on a first offence or if the issuing Smod or Admin finds it more fitting for the situation. Red cards are official infractions used for outright defiance of the rules.
There are currently four different categories of infractions: Spammed Advertisements, Insulted Other Member(s), Signature Rule Violation, and Inappropriate Language. It is up to the administrations discretion which category to use should an infraction fits multiple or none of these categories.
Infractions can earn points toward a user on a type of demerit system. Yellows are worth zero points, reds are worth one. If a user reaches 4 points, they will be automatically banned from the forums. All infractions do expire after ten days from the date of issue. However, left up to the discretion of the administration team, a user can be banned manually also.

What is a User Comment?
A user comment (or UC) is a special feature that allows you to leave a user a quick, short comment about a specific post. UC’s are a great way to give a little comment to a user that would generally be to cheap for the actual thread. You can leave either a positive or negative UC by clicking on the scale icon (right next to the online status icon under the user’s avatar). UC's will only be seen by the person who wrote the post you are commenting on.

What is a referral, and can I see who gave it to me?
A referral simply shows how many people put your username in as the user that referred them to CGR.
No, there is no way to find out which users gave you a referral.
Note: There is another type of referral given out. If someone is requesting a position as a Moderator, an Smod will give that user a referral if he thinks that the user would be a good choice as a mod. This referral is not the one displayed on your profile.

I’ve seen several threads that begin with RPD. What does this mean?
RPD stands for Restricted Participation Debate. This is a thread solely for the users mentioned in its title. Please respect the users and do not post in these threads.
