Bad or normal?

As a christian I know I need to be reading the bible. But I can't seem to get intersted in it AT ALL. I don't know what I need to do. I want to...but I guess I just keep startin in the wrong places. I have prayed about it...but... i dunno. Has anyone else been through this/or is? It's a slump and I need to get out of it.

I like to skip around allot. I read three different books at the same time. I read a chapter of every book a day. And pray. That way I never get bored. That's just what I do, you can try it if you want.

I don't think it's bad to feel that way. Sometimes the Bible is boring. Any glance at Leviticus or Numbers will tell you this. You have to realize that while it may not be the most interesting all of the time, it is still important and necessary. It may not seem appealing to read a story for English class, but you should still do it because it's important and you can learn from it. It's the same with the Bible, x1000.

Also, it might be a good idea to think of what kind of books you do enjoy reading, and then trying to find a similar style of story in the Bible. For example, if you like to read action/war books, you may enjoy the books of Joshua and Judges.

I got into a small group Bible study here at school, and when I did, the Bible got SOOO interesting to me. I would encourage you to join a Bible study because you get to see things from other perspectives and learn from eachother.

Honestly, this is my favorite book of the Bible. You have inspired me to read it more deeply, Bill.

Ecclesiastes is my favorite book of the Bible also. No matter what, I always get something new out of it and it always applies to real life (not that the rest of the Bible doesn't, but especially Ecclesiastes)

Ecclesiastes is also my favorite, I read it one afternoon for Awana and fell in love - I just couldn't put it down!
