| I remember the band Holland. Man, the drummer was huge. They must be the heaviest Christian band ever, if only going by his weight.
Them, or Crimson Thorn.

| EXTOL!!!!! (First 2 CD'S)
Antestor's first two demos are probably th heaviest stuff I have ever heard(the Defeat of Satan)
Vardoger
Shadows of Paragon
Virgin Black
The Showdown... they are kinda heavy.
Crimson Moonlight is fricken sweet.
Some of you guys have ni idea what you are talking about... how could Blindside, P86, or the Chariot be heavy?? they are hardcore or noisecore or whatever.
You guys need some Norwegian Black metal in your diet!!!

Hmmm.
Blindside and Project are not heavy; you're right. But to say that The Chariot isn't heavy is, to be blunt, ignorant. The Chariot is a very heavy band.
I listen to Extol. I already listen to some of that black metal you're talking about. I'm also wanting to check out Crimson Moonlight.
My point is, saying The Chariot is not heavy is a very ignorant statement.

| Is it just me, or is this thread complety pointless?
The term "heavy" will mean different things to different people. There is no "Heaviest Christian Band Ever" because it's all a matter of opinion.
*making post un-pointless* When I think "heavy christain band" old Underoath (Act of Depression, Cries of The Past) seems to pop into my mind.

You guys need some Norwegian Black metal in your diet!!! | I do listen to some norwegian black metal. Deuteronomium is one of the bands you haven't mentioned that qualifies. Old blindside was hard. (a thought crushed my mind, or the self-titled) Project 86 is hard and heavy. This isn't a contest.

| Too many sub-genres that would qualify as 'heavy' My vote is for Extol.
