Metropolitans and layin' the ecclesiastical smackdown

Okay, so here we have a bit of news. Bp. Terry Buckle of the Yukon (a conservative, praise the Lord) is now Archbishop Terry Buckle, Metropolitan of the dioceses of British Columbia, the Yukon, and New Westminster.

So what authority, as far as anyone knows, does Abp. Buckle have to lay the ecclesiastical smackdown on someone like Bp. Michael Ingham for his blatant heresy?

I'm hoping that the election of Bp. Buckle to Metropolitan might have a positive impact on the diocese in which I may well be finding myself next year, the Diocese of British Columbia (comprised of Vancouver Island)

I think Bishop Buckle only has the power to oust the bishop for blatant heresy and unfortunately, bishop Ingham has not committed a blatant heresy in the eyes of many Anglicans.

However, I think the Archbishop has the power to name implement new bishops and thus Bishop Buckle will have the power, when Ingham retires, to fill his spot with a conservative bishop. The process will be very slow, but I think Buckle will turn that region around and back to God.
