Lightbulb Favorite guitar players.

I haven't a clue if this has been asked, so I will ask it. Plus I love seeing who other people like when it comes to guitar players. Who are some or all of your favorite guitar players? They can be acoustic, electric, lead or rythm guitar players, I would like to know!
Dave Matthews
Bebo Norman
Derek Webb
Billie Joe
Steven Curtis Chapman
Justin Fox
Guys from Third Day
Jennifer Knapp
Guys from Ghoti Hook
Guy from Living End
Guy from Marvelous Three
Dean Roland and the lead from Collective Soul
Guy from Creed
Guy from Incubus
Darrell Evans
Guy from Silverchair
Guys from Weezer
Guy from Blues Traveler
And maybe some more.

Aaron Sprinkle.

Plain and simple. He's the best guitar player around.

Pete Stewart is good too.

BEST GUITAR

Hands down.... No question..... Go out and buy either of the two CD's by Lincoln Brewster, and give a listen......

He is so talented as a guitarist...Not only, but also, at many other instruments.......His demo he used when he was signed by Integrity Music was done will overlays of him playing every instrument on it, and singing all the harmony.....What a talent......

I think his best work, however belongs to the CD "Freedom" by Darrell Evans.... Both guys being signed with Vertical Music, Lincoln and Darrell got to make this project SWEET !!!!!!!

Check out the song "I am in love with you"..... The last four or five minutes is just Spontaneous worship, and it is awesome what Lincoln does on the guitar......

Hands down, Lincoln Brewster...

Signed,

Mr Green......23

Of course this is a biased opinion, but Jars of Clay has hands down one of the best guitarists in the world!

Umm....You are missing the best

I noticed no one mentioned one of the top five if not the best guitarist out there...Phil Keaggy. He would wipe the map with any one of the people mentioned so far.

Exclamation

Yeah I forgot to mention Phil Keaggy in my first list of guitar players, sorry. I went to my room and looked at my CDs when I had finished posting that message and I realized, I forgot him.
Oh yeah, this really cool guy, Nathan Green from Drop An Olive, what a great guitar player!

Dave Matthews and Tim Reynolds are both very good.
I also like Bebo Norman and Derek Webb.
No one has mentioned Don Chaffer from Waterdeep yet. If you've only listened to their latest works, you haven't really delved into the skills of Don Chaffer. Listen to Live at the New Earth and then try to find To Chase Away the Birds. He's got phenomenal electric guitar skills!

These aren't all necessarily the BEST in the world, but I really like their style. They've all impressed me somehow or other.

Stuart from Delirious?
John from the Red Hot Chili Peppers *
The dudes from Jars of Clay
Jimmy Paige from Led Zeppelin
The guy from Plankeye
Eric Clapton (when he played with Creme)
Jimi Hendrix
Bruce Cockburn
Peter Tosh (Bob Marley's lead)
the many guitarists of Craig's Brother
Phil Keaggy
John, Paul, and George
Ryan and Jeff from Stavesacre
the dudes from Juliana Theory
Dave Evans (the Edge) from U2
Billy Gibbons from ZZTop *

*Due to lyrical substance, I wouldn't advise you to listen to some of these guys for very long.
