| Helping make a difference for children this Christmas I searched around the boards, and didn't see anything, so I figured i'd post this up.
There is a group called Child's Play that is collecting cash and donations of books, toys and video games to go to childrens hospitals all over the United States, and even a few places in Canada this year. The goal is to help some kids get through a really tough holiday when they are in the hospital by giving them something fun to do. Child's Play Charity
It's a good cause, and the guys running the thing are taking $0.00 for administration costs, web hosting, etc. Every dollar that gets donated goes straight into helping a sick kid have a good Christmas. |

| Cool! andwhere I live.. and on the radio we are reading this message about Angel Tree: Angel Tree a ministry of Prison Fellowship designed to reach the innocent victims of crime who are often forgotten...children of prisoners. Being seperated from parents at Christmas time is a painful experience. Angel Tree touches those children with the love of Christ at Christmas by providing them with a special Christmas gifts. www.pfm.org
The message we read goes on to give contact information and we also have a list here with counties with lots of children needed churches and individuals to volunteer and help every year.
Thanks for posting your great news about helping thorugh "Child's Play"! May God bless you, this and other outreaches of His love this Thanksgiving and Christmas.

| KingdomHeart44: this is the third year that they are doing Child's Play.
Elationist: I've been involved with doing the angel tree for quite a number of years. Definitely a great ministry to be involved with- Did you know that there is an "Adventures in Odyssey" that was made about the angel tree program? (/weird bit of trivia) |

| AIO is one of those things you never grow out of, I guess. Though, there are definitely some episodes that come off as "talking down" that I like less than the others. Ah well. I guess i've been listening to them since like 1992/3 or so. That's longer than like 1/2 of CGR's posters have been alive. |
