| who inspires you besides god? hey yall! i was just sittin here thinkin' about the person who inspires me. i mean i get alot of inspiration from God and the bible but here on earth who inspires you? i'm inspired by 3 people. one my guitar teacher who is the one who truley lead me to belive. the second, one of my youth leaders who i tlak to everything about. the last is a senior at the high school who we'll call raven. raven is everything i ever want to be. she is kind and is in band. she is the leader of here section and plays guitar. she is a faithful christian who does everything she can to lead other people in the right direction. she isn't a girly-girl and she never wears makeup. she doesn't care if she has a BF(although i don't understand how she doesn't care but none the less) she is a great freind and a middle child who never let anyone bring her down. i am now good freinds with her brother and freinds with her. she is all i'll ever inspire to be and i guess i'm thanking her for it in this.
if you are inspired by a person you know or even a celeberty please post them.

| My dad really inspires me to be more like Christ and do my best. He has always told me I can do better, and that I can accomplish anything. My dad was in the Air National Guard for 21 years, then retired and now works for Gulfstream Aerospace. He only has an AA and makes $85,000 a year, and has 12 kids and stays faithful to my mom, his wife of 21 years. He is my inspiration.

| my dad is also one of my inspirations. he somewhat sounds like PaidInFull's dad. except for the fact that he and my mom have 4 kids, not 12; they've been married 23 yrs. he's been a pilot, used to box, has been a pastor, has taught math, physics and other sciences at a university, is a legal psychologist/counselor, and now he's back to being a pastor. he really seeks God's face and is faithful and loving to our mother. he cares for us, his kids, and does what's best for us and wants us to be better than him. and i do want to follow in some of his footsteps.
i would also say my best friend Aaron is also one of my inspirations. he really seeks God's face, he's loving, humble, patient. an all-around great guy who really tries to live just as Jesus did.

| I have different inspirations at different points in my life. Right now, one of my biggest inspirations would be my housemate Jessica.
She's 25 and engaged, finishing her degree. She is just the most amazing woman of God that I have met. She is so strong and secure in her faith, she just has this light that you can see because it shows itself in everything she does and says. She has such strength but also a quiet sort of grace. I don't know, she is the image of where I would like to be in a few years time.
so yes

bandgeek | Well, I only posted the basic stuff. My dad used to be a crew chief in a Jet fighter hanger (later a crew chief for the only C-130 in north florida). The F-15 Eagle has a giant hook under its body to catch a cable to slow its speed upon landing, once my dad was working under the back of the jet and the hook broke lose and fell on his back. He almost broke his back and the doctors were surprised that he didnt. Then in 2001 an F-15's engine caught fire and he was the Marshal, he tried to signal but the pilot wasnt paying attention, so my dad climbed unto the jet and pulled the pilot out (the canopy was open) a few minutes later it exploded. He got a medal, one of those Distinguished Service medals. Just this past Summer he was diagnosed with adult onset of Diabeties, but he stuck to his diet and now the doctors say he wont get it. My dads always been a strong man of God and is always doing counseling with other adult guys (he wont do females). When my mom was put in the hospital in 2002 because of a thyroid problem and high blood pressure my dad spent everynight with her, get up at 4am and went to work, and returned to her side after work, for like 2 weeks. She got better of course but the thyroid had caused my mom to gain like 20lbs. My dad encouraged her everyday and dieted with her and she lost it. My dad is also the Youth Groups favorite parent. He plays Halo (and is quite good), drives old sports cars, plays football and basketball with the Youth, I mean, if I had a choice to be just like someone on this earth it would be my dad. I could go on and on with how cool he is. Oh and BTW, he called me yesterday and told me that he paid 6 months of my car insurance ($1200) because "I just love ya son!". Quote: |
