| hi i'm from Canada!
haha
well we have basic, general, advanced, and enriched(only for lower math classes)
i'm taking all advanced classes
theyre pretty tough but i need them to get into university
for the new cirriculum, theyre called something other than "general" and "advanced" but basically its the same thing |

| You kids have all this weird crap. I am in 10th grade and Alg 2 is normal. There is Advanced Math for kids in 10th grade that are advanced. Perhaps your schools are behind.
I am in:
AP US History (for college credit and its weighted)
Adv Language Arts (weighted)
Adv Biology (just a harder class)
I am not good at Math.

we're in CANADA remember? thus we dont call courses the same as they are called in the states
all my advanced classes are equivalent to your "honours" classes
we just call them something different
and as for the part where i said we learn more, it's because i am learning what youre in learning in FIVE years and not FOUR
therefore, although your learning is condensed, ours is spread out and we still actually include a lot of extra things
like take Calulus for example: OA Calc (grade 13, basically) is equilvalent to FIRST YEAR UNIVERSITY CALC
i think i've made my point
